Peaceful, clean, and friendly staff... Sites are closely put together, but even with that being a factor, privacy is respected, as well as it still is very quiet. Everything you need is right here on the grounds, as well as food and gas within a 5 minute ride. Shower stalls are clean and up to date, grounds are maintenance daily, and any problems are promptly handled. I suggest this place if you are planning a family trip, or just need lodging along a road trip. Even with a recent transfer in owners, the grounds are still the same, as well as staff.
Avoid, the first KIA that I have been to that is totally unhelpful, and the staff doesn't know their own campsite. Sent down a dead end road, ended up backing up into an post that was impossible to see and got no help. They promised us a 70 foot space, wanted us to use a very short space that would barely fit a 30 ft RV. I have been a KOA member for over 12 years and have always been happy!
Honestly from reading the reviews - good and the bad - I had called because i need somewhere to park my small 21' motor-home for the winter. I believe I talked to Connie on the phone. I had a great conversation, very informative. I have a older but nice looking RV and wanted to make sure that it was Ok to park there. I can't wait to come and visit Saturday. I will make another review on my after my visit this weekend 10.7.17.
Very disappointed in our campsite, and campground overall. It is more like a parking lot rather than campground. Sites were so close together, which again is fine If you're just parking and not camping. If you're just on an overnight pit stop on your way somewhere else it would be fine, bathrooms are clean, but it is otherwise not somewhere I'd stay for fun.
Timberland Campground is a great place to stay to sit by the pool or travel into Philadelphia and see the sights. The restrooms are clean, spacious and in excellent condition. Most of the campsites are spread out to give ample room between sites. We plan to come back and enjoy this campground sometime in the future.
